- Barni Qaasim, Filmmaker
- Deborah Kaley, Midwife and Founder, Maternidad la Luz
- Sandra Iturbe, Midwife
- Heather Sinclair, Midwife and PhD Student: Medicalization of Childbirth in El Paso
- Lina Murillo, PhD Student: Women’s Reproductive Health on the Border
The best part of the night was when an audience member presented Deborah Kaley with flowers! Erika Romero, who grew up next door to Maternidad la Luz came to the screening and volunteered to help with translation! Andrea Ruizquez who inspired me to create Catching Babies and who also painted the art used for the poster was there with her children Emilio and Amada. It was so great to have Sandra, Cemelli, Astrid, Alana, Judith, Roberto Carillo and so many others there.
Thank you Pablo for taking these amazing photographs!
